1) To kick things off, could you tell us a little about your career background and current role?

I’m a digital marketer with 8 years’ experience in the corporate world, during which I was part of different companies and agencies in the digital and social marketing area. Although my career was growing in a fast pace I didn’t feel that I was making a difference and wanted to have a bigger impact.

I began my entrepreneur journey as a digital marketing consultant for small businesses but after working for more than 20 brands I found my true passion: helping women build their digital business and become entrepreneurs.

2) What does a day in the life look like for you? Can you take us through a recent workday?

I always start off with a meditation, that way I don’t rush unto work without having my mind up for the job. While I take my morning coffee I plan my day through batches focusing on not more than 2 goals, generally this translates to a morning focused on my clients and an afternoon where I get to work on my business development.

Usually after 6:00pm I do an exercise session to give closure to my working day and get home to cook and unwind.

3) Does your current role allow for flexible or remote working? If so, how does that fit into your life and routine?

I’m a digital entrepreneur with clients in four Latin American countries and I do all of my work from Sydney, I don’t think it gets more flexible and remote than that. The name of my business is “Desde Mi Laptop” which translates to “From my laptop.” I work 100% online; I think I have more Zoom conversations than in real life.

4) What does work-life balance mean to you and how do you work to achieve that goal?

For me it’s all about freedom: the freedom to work anywhere you want, doing the job you like, with the people you choose, during the times you are feeling it. Everything I do in life -personally and professionally- is aligned to my freedom driven life purpose.

This value of freedom is what made me an entrepreneur with a digital business who helps other women achieve the same.

5) What do you think are some of the best habits or routines that you’ve developed over the years to help you achieve success in your life?

As a really intense over thinker, for me it’s all about the strict no multitasking rule. I do all my work through a batching technique, which allows me to maximize concentration and decrease distraction.

Batching is basically grouping similar tasks together, so you do them all at once, instead of switching between tasks that take place in different programs or areas.

6) Are there any books that have helped you improve over the years?

Simple Abundance: A Daybook of Comfort and Joy by Sarah Ban Breathnach. It’s the mindset books that take most of my reading time.

7) What is the number one thing you do to make sure you get the most out of your day?

Relationships. Co-creation is key to learn, teach and develop all of our strengths in our personal and professional lives.

8) If you could read an interview about work-life balance by anyone, who would that be?

I would go for a digital business entrepreneur, down to earth and like minded people. Open to any suggestions.

9) Do you have any last thoughts on work, life or balance that you’d like to share with our readers?

Fake it till you make it is my business motto. Lead your life the way you want it to be, even if you’re not there yet.
