1) To kick things off, could you tell us a little about your career background and current role?
I am a holistic health coach, functional movement trainer and yoga and meditation teacher.
I was a professional dancer for over 10 years and with that began my love for health and wellness trying to find ways to keep my body and mind in shape in order to be able to perform and be the best in the industry and eventually led to me working in the industry full time for the last 8 years sharing my love and knowledge for all things health and wellness.
Known by many as ‘the travelling yogi’ I deliver one on one and small group yoga and meditation sessions in homes, at events, and also to corporate teams in their workplaces. I have a passion for educating people on the benefits of good health and mindfulness through workshops and public speaking.
When I’m not working with clients you’ll find me on my yoga mat, swimming down at Bondi Beach, or sipping on green smoothies and laughing way too hard at my own jokes.
2) What does a day in the life look like for you? Can you take us through a recent workday?
Well there is no same day for me everyday looks different with many different activities happening and changing. But generally I wake up at 5 am and will get my own yoga and meditation practise in first thing so that I am in the right frame of mind and body for my clients.
My morning usually then consists of either working with private yoga clients / working with different brands or companies running their health and wellness programs. I then get home to have a bite to eat, I love being able to get home to make a nourishing meal and I have a little break to recharge and a walk outside.
Then my afternoon I generally catch up on e mails and my online clients and a bit of admin. I then head out to teach my evening classes. After that I’ll either meet friends for dinner to head home for a dinner and an evening mediation before a hot shower and some essential oils to relax and get in bed for an early night.
3) Does your current role allow for flexible or remote working? If so, how does that fit into your life and routine?
Certain aspects of my work does. I am able to schedule in private clients and events around my schedule to a degree and then I am able to work with my online clients remotely.
4) Do you have any tips, tricks or shortcuts to help you manage your workload and schedule?
Have a bulletproof plan and schedule for each week. I plan and schedule everything to the minute so it takes the thinking and stress out. I know where I have to be when and I know what needs to be done each week to have a productive week during full periods.
5) What does work-life balance mean to you and how do you work to achieve that goal?
I don’t believe in work-life balance I don’t think there is such a thing, the word balance itself means things can tipple over at any time. I believe in work-life integration. I integrate all aspects in my life to work together in harmony.
6) What do you think are some of the best habits you’ve developed over the years to help you strive for success and balance?
- Organization: my success is very much related to prioritising planning, setting priorities and goals.
- Taking action: As important as it is to plan and organise, without action a plan is nothing more than potential. I take action quickly and jump at opportunities.
- Personal care: I follow a highly disciplined regime with regard to my diet, exercise and thoughts in order to keep me in the best shape to live a healthy, happy, successful life.
- Rising early: the more time I can devote to being successful the more likely success will come.

8) What is the number one thing you do to make sure you get the most out of your day?
Look after my own health and wellness through daily movement, nourishing food and meditation.
9) Do you have any last thoughts on work, life or balance that you’d like to share with our readers?
Yes my final thought would be never get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life.
