Describe what you do: We provide virtual team building activities as a service to companies like Apple, Amazon, Google, and others. When there isn’t a pandemic, we run local team building events too. We publish a lot of content about employee engagement on our blog.
How do you like your coffee: I like tea.
Device(s) you use: I use a 2015 MacBook Air with upgraded processor and memory. I prefer the older-style of Apple keyboards, so plan to hold on to that for awhile. The rationale for the Air was that my lifestyle was very nomadic, so I wanted something ultra-lite. Now, I stay in locations longer, and so recently I bought an iMac – the larger screen and separate keyboard and mouse are great.
Describe your working style in one sentence: First make it exist, then make it better.
What does your workspace look like: Really any table and chair, and sometimes a couch. I’m transitioning out of being nomadic, so expect to have more stability in my work space in the coming months.
How does your workspace affect your creative process: With how much time I spend at the computer, the work place ergonomics affect my health, well-being and creative process. I tend to do my best work either when I’m well rested or at 3AM when I’m totally exhausted.
Do you have a favourite playlist for work: I tend to listen to Queen or Bon Jovi on infinite loop. Favorite playlist hack: you can right click a YouTube video and put it on loop.
Who would you like to nominate for the next workflow interview: Nick Gray.
