Describe what you do: The teams that I lead are the architects behind award winning programs such as candidate attraction campaigns, talent inclusion, onboarding, professional branding, advocacy, internal mobility and staff-alumni communities. Most recently, we were the proud winners of the 2019 Candidate Experiences (CandE) Award at RMIT University.

How do you like your coffee: Soy latte.

Device(s) you use: MacBook Air, iPhone, iPad and I’m waiting for my new Airpods in the post as my 2 year old broke my other pair. You can say we are a Mac Family!

Describe your working style in one sentence: I’m trying to slow down a bit in the way I work – focus on the detail and shutting out the other noise that distracts me. I use a Trello board for work and I have another board for my personal life so I can set my focus regularly. My team is encouraged to use it too, so at any given time, there’s open lines of communication on strategy and priorities.

What does your workspace look like: I’m usually someone who thrives in offices where I can feed off of other people’s energy. Now that I’m working from home, I’ve purchased a $65 desk from Big W that shakes when I type, but it’s helped me carve out a space of the house that’s mine, quite and sunny.

How does your workspace affect your creative process: I’m mainly an auditory learner, which means I need to have quiet around me in order to do my best work. Quiet is a luxury when both my husband and I are working from home with a two-year-old!

I’ve also Marie-Kondo’d the hell out of my workspace and have made sure that I have my essentials to keep my work going: water, natural sunlight (I sound like a plant), Burt’s Bees lip balm, charger (per device) and a good ol’ pen and paper. I can pop all of those essentials into a backpack and work from anywhere now.

Do you have a favourite playlist for work: On the day that my husband and I met 7 years ago, we created a shared Spotify playlist of our favourite music. Now, it’s about 400+ songs, so it never gets old. I’ve also been listening to some old school Jay Z, I’m not like other moms, I’m a cool mom.

Who would you like to nominate for the next workflow interview: Mark Puncher.
